Reflecting on the first artwork in my Cycle Breakers series

There are people who love me for who I am and want me to be free. I want me to be free.

There is fire running through my veins. And I'll say it in paint.

I have hope. I find hope, over and over and over again. But maybe today, I just want to acknowledge how tiring that’s been.

I won't hide this. I've suffered alone and too many survivors suffer alone.

Yes, something so cracked can survive. I know that now.

Oh, the dualities of decision-making!
